State level Adivasi Mela 2025 will be held in the IDCO Exhibition Ground, Unit -3, Bhubaneswar, Odisha from 5th Jan to 15th Jan, 2025 (2pm to 9pm) which will showcase the rich heritage, art, culture, livelihoods, etc of the tribals. The Mela has a glorious & illustrious history when it was held for the very first time dating back to Jan 26th, 1951.
The Adivasi Mela 2025 will showcase the rainbow world of tribal culture, in its varied & myriad form that are reflected from the pitched stalls on the exhibition ground. The Adivasi Gaon or Village with its characteristic house pattern of various tribal communities, the Adivasi Haat (market), the Adivasi Samagri, Govt stalls, Adivasi Food Bazaar, Tribal Art & Craft, Textile & Handicraft, Tribal Art Gallery & Tribal Cultural Shows will enthrall the visiting public.
The Adivasi Haat will be the common outlet for sale of indigenous tribal products of SHGs of Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDAs) & Micro Projects. The Adivasi Gaon will have structures representing the distinctive tribal house pattern with household materials, cultural landmark, art & artefacts crafted by respective tribes. The Adivasi Samagri will display various tribal products like honey, various lentils, ragi & other rare forest produces. Under the Govt. Stall section, different Deptts/Heads of Deptt, Govt Undertakings, Corporations like I & PR Dept, W & CD Deptt, Directorate of Horticulture, Tourism will showcase their activities for socio-economic development of tribals. The Tribal Art Gallery will have a wide range of tribal paintings for display & sale. Tribal Cultural Shows on a daily basis will stage music, colorful tribal dance/folk dance like Ghumura, Gond, Paraja, Oraon, Gadaba, Koya, Saunti, Kondh, Dongaria Kondh, Desia Kondh, Bhumija, Kisan, Bhuyan will be performed by the best tribal troupes on different evening during the Mela, entertaining the visitors.
